Linda Ann Gray, known as Linda Gray, is an American actress, director, and producer best known for her work in film, television, and theatre. She was born in Santa Monica, California, United States, on September 12, 1940.
Linda initially pursued a career as a model in the 1960s before transitioning to acting. She began her acting career in television commercials, appearing in almost 400 of them. In 1963, Gray made her screen debut with the film Under the Yum Yum Tree. However, it was her role in the popular TV series Marcus Welby, M.D. in 1974 that propelled her to fame. Since then, she has had recurring roles in numerous TV series, including Models Inc., The Bold and the Beautiful, Hollyoaks, and Dallas, which also features Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, and Jordana Brewster.
Aside from her acting work, Gray has also ventured into directing and producing. She directed several episodes of the hit TV series Dallas and produced the film Expecting Mary.
She received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
