Linda Hunt Bio
Linda Hunt, born Lydia Susanna Hunter on April the 2nd 1945 in New Jersey and is an American film, stage and television actress. With a career that began in 1976, the actress came to worldwide acclaim for portraying Billy Kwan in 1982’s The Year of Living Dangerously, a role for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
The actress then went on to become well known for portraying Shadout in Dune, Stella in Silverado, voicing Grandmother Willow in the Disney animated feature Pocahontas and Jill in Stranger than Fiction. With a television career, she has portrayed Zoey Hiller in the legal drama, The Practice and from 2009 has appeared in NCIS: Los Angeles for nine seasons as Hetty Lange.
