Lior Raz is an actor and screenwriter born on November 24, 1971, in Ma'ale Adumim, West Bank, Israel. He trained at Nissan Nativ Drama school in Tel Aviv. He worked as the creative director for BBDO, an ad agency in Israel. Lior founded Kookooruza, a production company for TV commercials in Israel.
He began acting in 2003, appearing in different roles at the Gesher Theater and Ruth Kaner company. He is best known for creating and starring as Doron Kavillio in the political thriller Fauda. The show won six awards, including Best Drama Series, at the Israeli Academy Awards.
Lior starred opposite Ryan Reynolds in Netflix's 6 Underground, directed by Michael Bay. He has received two nominations and four awards, including Best Actor at the 2018 Israeli TV Academy Awards. He has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Tonight with Lucy and Guri, Machar Shabat, and Conan. His acting credits include The Crowded Room, Hit & Run, Operation Finale, Mary Magdalene, Landing on Their Feet, and The World Is Funny.
