Little Mix is the name of a popular British girl group formed in London, England, back in 2011. The members of Little Mix auditioned individually as soloists in the eighth series of the UK version of the famous reality television music series The X Factor. They would create the girl group Rhytmix which would later become the famous Little Mix. Little Mix performed a cover of Damien Rice’s song called Cannonball and became the first group to win The X Factor show in the UK. After that, Little Mix signed with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Music and in 2012 they released their debut album titled DNA. Their album peaked in the Top 10 in the UK and in the US. They were the first girl group who reached the US Top 5 since the Pussycat Dolls. They have released four more albums as of 2018. Little Mix won the Best British Single award at the 2017 Brit Awards for their single Shout Out to My Ex.
