Liv Hewson is an actor and playwright born November 29, 1995, in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Liv uses they/them pronouns. In 2020, the Human Rights Campaign Visibility Award was given to them for their LGBT+ advocacy.
Liv attended Alfred Deakin High School and Canberra College. They began acting as part of the Canberra Youth Theater. In 2009, she featured in Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation as the Generation Z guest. Their first acting role was in the short film Alfonso Frisk. From 2017 to 2019, they starred as Abby Hammond in the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet. They starred in the lead role in the 2016 fantasy web series Dramaworld.
Their acting credits include Yellowjackets (2021) as Vanessa ‘Van’ Palmer, Let It Snow (2019) as Dorrie, Homecoming Queens (2018) as Chloë, Before I Fall (2017) as Anna Cartullo, and Top of the Lake (2013) as Michaela. In 2020, they were nominated for Best Performance in the Raindance Award for Under My Skin (2020).
