Local Natives Bio

Local Natives is an American indie rock band formed in 2008 in Silver Lake, California. Guitarist Ryan Hahn, singer/guitarist Taylor Rice, and keyboardist Kelcey Ayer came together in high school, and a few years later they recruited drummer Matt Frazier and bassist Andy Hamm to complete the lineup. They made a debut with the LP “Gorilla Manor” in 2009 through the U.K. label Infectious Records. A second effort titled “Hummingbird” came out in 2013, along with a lineup change consisting of bassist Nick Ewing replacing Andy Hamm. This second release peaked at number 12 on the Billboard 200. In 2016 the band released their third outing “Sunlit Youth”, reaching the 8th spot on the rock albums chart. 2019’s album “Violet Street” was produced with Shawn Everett and included the singles “When Am I Gonna Lose You” and “Cafe Amarillo”.
