Düsseldorf-native DJ Loco Dice, who was born Yassine Ben Anchour in 1974, is one of the more widely respected DJs in the electronic music arena. When his music career first took off in the 1990s, his beats were heavily influenced by the hip hop of that time. As the new millennium transitioned in, his interest in electronic music grew, and he took bits and pieces of that influence and incorporated it into his personal style. He has acted as the DJ for big name performers such as R. Kelly, Usher, Snoop Dogg, and Ice Cube, to name a few.
Loco Dice partnered with friend Martin Buttrich in 2002 for some studio time, where they recorded various tracks such as “MeninaBrasiliera” and “SeeingThroughShadows”, tracks that gained him the recognition to start performing internationally and for the top name artists. Loco Dice went on to release his albums Minimal Explosion in 2005, Time Warp 07 in 2007, and 7 Dunham Place in 2009.
