Lojay is a musician born on 28th April 1996 in Lagos, Nigeria. He is best known for his hit song “Monalisa” featuring Sarz and Chris Brown, which peaked at number 8 on the U.S Afrobeats Songs chart. He started his career in 2016 while studying for his undergraduate degree at the university. He released his first EP, titled “Midnight Vibes”, in December 2017. The EP contained five tracks: “Whine & Bubble”, “10K Splaw”, “Ararodo”, “Kele”, and “Alomo”.
He dropped the singles “Ariel” and “Ogogoro” in 2019 and 2020, respectively. In May 2021, he issued his second EP, “LV N ATTN (Love and Attention)”, which featured Sarz. In 2023, he released his third EP, titled “Gangster Romantic”, featuring DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. In 2022, the single “Monalisa” was nominated for the Best Afrobeats Single of the Year at The Headies.
