Lomelda Bio
Lomelda, real name Hannah Read, is a musician from Texas, United States. Her interest in music began when she was still in school. She played in bands with her high school friends. She learned how to play the guitar at a very young age. Her debut album “Late Dawn Inheritance” was released in 2012. The album was co-produced by her brother, Tommy Read. After a bit of touring, she released her debut full-length “Forever” in 2015. Two years later, she released her sophomore album “Thy” through the Double Double Whammy.
The first single in the album “Intestate Vision” was streamed millions of times on music streaming platforms. In 2019, she released another album, titled “M for Empathy”. Her next album, “Hannah”, was released in 2020 and went on to be named Pitchfork’s Best New Music with a score of 8.3. Her debut EP, “Covers”, featuring the music duo Hovvdy, was released in 2019.
