Loren Hal Bouchard is an animator, writer, producer, director, and composer born on October 10, 1969, in New York City, USA. His career began in 1995 when he worked with Tom Snyder to produce his first series, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. Towards its end, he teamed up with Brendon Small to create Home Movies. It was initially picked up by UPN and later dropped after five episodes. The show was finished on Adult Swim.
In October 2005, he created the show pilot for Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil. However, it did not debut until September 2007 as a weekly feature on Adult Swim. He is an executive producer and the creator of the series Bob's Burgers. The show premiered on January 9, 2011, on Fox.
A film adaptation of Bob's Burgers was released on May 27, 2022. Loren is a writer, main theme composer, and executive producer for Central Park (2020). He is an executive producer on The Great North (2021). Loren has been nominated for several and has won seven awards, including two Primetime Emmy Awards (2014, 2017).
