Lorraine Bracco was born on October the 2nd 1954 in New York and is an American actress. Acting since 1979, she is well known for portraying Karen Friedman Hill in the crime film, Goodfellas, a role for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. Bracco appeared in the Martin Scorsese film alongside Robert de Niro and Ray Liotta.
Following her role in the film she then became well known for her role in the crime televisions show, The Sopranos where she portrayed Dr. Jennifer Melfi and was nominated for multiple Emmy’s during her time on the show. More recently the actress has appeared in shows such as Blue Bloods as Margaret Dutton and the dram film Monday Nights at Seven where she plays Damian Robertson.
