Lorraine Toussaint, born on April 4, 1960, in Trinidad and Tobago, is a famous actress and a producer. She has studied at the University of Julliard and soon after receiving her diploma, she started building her career. The first role that she landed was Lady MacBeth with Shakespeare and Company in New York where she currently lived. Her career includes over 30 guest performances in a long list of TV series including Law & Order, Saving Grace, Crossing Jordan, Ugly Betty, Body of Proof, The Fosters, and many others. In 2014, she played the role of Yvonne “Vee” Parker in the second session of the Netflix TV series Orange Is the New Black for which she earned critical acclaim and a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
