The Lost Kings are a pair of DJ’s consisting of Robert Abisi and Nick Shanholtz. Robert Abisi was born in 1990 in Boston, Massachusetts and Nick Shanholtz was born in Baltimore, Maryland. The duo created their DJ group in 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
In 2014 the duo signed the Disruptor Management and began to release a series of mixtapes in the house genre. They first came into the spotlight when their remix of Disclosure’s song “Latch” featuring Sam Smith was played regularly on Sirius/XM’s Beats Per Minute channel. In 2015 they released their remix of Imagine Dragons’ song “I Bet My Life.” The remix peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Lost Kings released their debut EP, The Bad, in the same year through the label Spinnin’ Records. The EP charted on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart at number 15.
In 2016 the Lost Kings were chosen to create the official remix of Rihanna’s song “Work” featuring Drake. The duo then signed to RCA Records and released the single “Phone Down” featuring Emily Warren. The song charted in at number 5 on Spotify’s Top Ten Most Viral Tracks. In 2017 they released the single “Look At Us Now” featuring Ally Brooke and ASAP Ferg.
