Louane [Emera], born as Anne Peichert on November 26th, 1996 in Henin-Beaumont, France, is a French singer, actress and songwriter. At the age of 12 she was a contestant on the TV show L’Ecole des Stars.
Louane took part in the French version of The Voice in 2013. She auditioned with William Sheller’s song “Un homme heureux.” She also performed the songs “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia, “Les moulins de mon couer” by Michel Legrand, “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen and an original song called “Imagine.” She was eliminated in the semi-finals but took place in a tour throughout France with other semi-finalists after the show ended for the season.
After the tour, Louane was cast for the movie La Famile Belier. Her character covers a few Micahel Sardou songs including the hit “Je vole.” She was also nominated for, and won, the “Most Promising Actress” award at the 40th Annual Cesar awards. In 2015 she opened up for Jessie J and also released her debut album, Chambre 12. The album charted in at number 1 on the French, Belgian, and Swiss charts.
