Simon Cliche Trudeau, popularly known as Loud, is a rapper and songwriter born on February 17, 1988, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is signed to Joy Ride Records. His musical career began as a member of the band Loud Lary Ajust. After the group's separation in 2016, he went solo and released his first EP, New Phone. It had four songs, including 56K.
He released his debut album, Une année record, in November 2017. It was followed by a sold-out concert in France, earning him the attention of the French music magazine Les Inrockuptibles. In 2018, he was featured on Cœur de pirate's track "Dans la nuit" from her En cas de tempête, ce jardin sera fermé album. The same year, he won the SOCAN Songwriting Prize for the track 56K and the Prix Félix for Hip Hop Album of the Year. He was nominated for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize. In 2019, he won the Juno Award for Francophone Album of the Year for the Une année record.
Loud released his second album, Tout ça pour ça, in 2019. It was nominated for the 2019 Polaris Music Prize and the 2020 Juno Award for Francophone Album of the Year.
