Louie Anderson is an American actor, comedian, author, and television host born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on March 24, 1953. He is best known for hosting the television game show Family Feud and for his role on the television series Baskets that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2016. In 1984 he made his debut on television as a comedian on the late night talk show, The Tonight Show. In 2012 he filmed his stand up special titled Louie Anderson: Big Baby Boomer, poking fun at himself and his habits. He made his debut in film in the movie Cloak & Dagger in 1984 and went on to be in the movies, Quicksilver, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ratboy, The Wrong Guys, Coming to America, and others. His debut in a television series was in 1986 on the show Remington Steele and has since been in the television series Grace Under Fire, Ally McBeal, Nash Bridges, Half & Half, Drunk History, and more. He also created the shows The Louie Show, and Life with Louie as well as authoring four books.
