Lucien Nicolet, also known as Luciano or Luciæn, is a Swiss-Chilean DJ and producer born in 1978 in Switzerland. As a child, he moved with his family to Chile, where he would start his career as an electronic music performer and promoter. Nicolet pioneered the genre’s Chilean scene in the 1990s along with Señor Coconut and Dandy Jack, creating events like “Encuentros Con La Technocultura” (Encounters with Techno-Culture), and growing a following large enough to fill the city's largest venues. At 21, he moved to Europe and started releasing music with labels like Perlon and Peacefrog, eventually creating his own label Cadenza Records in 2003. Nicolet made a name of himself in the Ibiza scene, starting with a 3-year residency at the acclaimed club Circoloco at the DC10, and then creating high-profile multimedia weekly party concepts like “Aether Live” (2009), “Vagabundos” (2010), and “Luciano & Friends” (2013). The electronic artist has also promoted young talents with his project “Cadenza Lab”, and in 2014 he re-issued his first productions with “Baseac”.
