Lucie Safarova is a Czech retired tennis player who played in the WTA Tour and competed at numerous Gland Slam events. She was born in Brno, Czechoslovakia, on February 4, 1987.
Lucie began her professional tennis career in 2001, and four years later, she won her first WTA Tour event. She went on to compete in top-tier tennis events until her retirement in 2019. Throughout her professional career, Lucie played against numerous other tennis players, including Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, María José Martínez Sánchez, and Klára Zakopalová.
Her career highlights include winning the 2015 and 2017 Australian Open Doubles, the 2015 and 2017 French Open Doubles, and the 2016 US Open Doubles. Lucie also won bronze at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.
