Lucy Spraggan was born on July 21st, 1991 in Buxton, England. She is a English singer and songwriter that came to public attention during her run on the show Live and Unsigned. In 2011 she placed third in the category of Urban, Pop & Acoustic Category. She won a slot at the Osfest festival and Australia’s Go Connect Festival. She released her single “Last Night” right after completing the competition. In 2011 Lucy released her album Top Room at the Zoo independently the same year.
In 2012 Lucy released her single “Tea and Toast” and then auditioned for the 9th season of The X Factor. She auditioned with her own single “Last Night.” The single jumped to the number 5 spot on ITunes after her audition. She would go on to compete up to the 5th week of the show until she pulled out due to illness.
In 2013 Lucy signed to Columbia Records and released her debut album Join the Club. In 2014 she released her second album called We Are and embarked on a tour afterward. She then released an EP called Home and her next studio album called I Hope You Don’t Mind Me Writing in 2017.
