Ludovico Einaudi was born Ludovico Maria Enrico Einaudi in Turin, Piedmont, Italy on November 23, 1955. His most notable works as a musical score composer include The Intouchables, This Is England, and Under a False Name. He studied at Milan Conservatorio. He was commissioned by the Tanglewood Festival in the USA, IRCAM in Paris, and Beijing’s National Center of Performing Arts. His most notable works in classical music include Stanze which was released in 1997 and Le Onde, a piano solo released a year after. Einaudi started to venture into TV and film, and he worked on Doctor Zhivago in 2002 and Sotto Falso Nome in 2004. His albums include Diario Mali, Una Mattina, and Diveneri. The Italian Republic bestowed him with a senior order of Knighthood in 2005.
