Luis Fabiano is a retired professional football player born on 8th November 1980. He played as a striker for several clubs in Brazil and Europe. Fabiano started his career with the youth setup at Ponte Preta. In 1998, he was called to the senior side of Ponte Preta. In 2000, he joined the French professional football club Rennes, where he played until 2002. While with Rennes, he was sent out on loan to Sao Paulo. In 2002, he joined Sao Paulo on a permanent deal.
Two years later, he signed with the Portuguese professional football club Porto. In 2005, he joined the Spanish professional club Sevilla. On 29th November 2007, he was sent off for elbowing Sergio Busquets of FC Barcelona. In 2008, he extended his contract with Sevilla to 2011. After seeing out his contract, he returned to Sao Paulo, where he played until 2015. The following year, he joined Tianjin Quanjian and later Vasco da Gama.
