Lucas Taupin, widely known as Lujipeka, is a rapper born in Rennes, France, on September 9, 1995. His earliest musical influences include the singer Renaud and rapper Booba. While in high school, he formed the group Columbine with Foda C, Lorenzo (Larry Garcia), Sully, Chaman, Yro, Chaps, Sacha (Veski), and DJ KCIV. The group released a self-produced EP, 2k16, in 2014, including solo tracks by Lujipeka, Foda C and Yro.
In 2016, the group released their gold-certified debut album, Clubbing for Columbine, and signed with the Initial Artist Services label in 2017. Their second album, Enfants terribles, peaked at number eight on the album chart in France. They released two albums, Adieu bientôt and Adieu, au revoir (réédition d'Adieu bientôt), before disbanding.
Lujipeka kicked off his solo career with the EP, P.E.K.A., in 2020, followed later by the mixtape L.U.J.I. He released his debut album in November 2021. He has performed at several festivals, including Les Vieilles Charrues in Carhaix-Plouguer, the Francofolies in La Rochelle, and the Détonation festival in Besançon. Lujipeka won Francophone Revelation of the Year at the 24th edition of the NRJ Music Awards.
