Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real Bio
Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real is an American country rock band. Also commonly referred to as POTR, the band was formed in 2008 and consists of Lukas Nelson (lead vocalist and guitarist), Anthony LoGerfo (drummer and percussionist), Corey McCormick (bass guitarist and vocalist), Logan Metz (keyboards, guitarist and vocalist), and Tato Melgar (percussionist). In their early years, they opened for the music legend Willie Nelson and toured with the late B.B. King in addition to releasing their debut EP ‘Live Beginnings’. The band released their debut studio EP ‘Brando’s Paradise Sessions’ in 2009 and their first album, ‘Promise of the Real’ the following year. Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real has collaborated with mega artists like Willie Nelson and Neil Young. Nelson also collaborated with Lady Gaga for the film A Star Is Born and was crowned with a BAFTA Award for Best Original Music and Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
