Jude Lemfani Abaga, better known by his stage name M.I Abaga, is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and music producer who performs hip-hop music. He was born in Jos, Plateau, Nigeria, on October 4, 1981.
Abaga began his music career in 2004 with the release of his debut single Safe. His discography now includes the hit singles The Love Song, Crown of Clay, Oil, Soft Like Tony, Playlist, and the albums The Guy, Talk About It, and The Chairman. Abaga was featured in DJ Neptune’s album Greatness alongside fellow musical artists Burna Boy, Niniola, Olamide, Harmonize, and Yemi Alade.
He won an MTV Africa Music Award for Best New Act, a Hip Hop World Award for Best Rap Album, and a Headies award for Best Rap Single.
