M. Night Shyamalan Bio
Manoj Nelliyattu Shyamalan, better known as M. Night Shyamalan, is an Indian-American filmmaker, director, writer, producer, and actor best known for writing and directing numerous Hollywood hits. He was born in Mahé, Puducherry, India, on August 6, 1970. M. Night began his filmmaking career in 1992 when he created the low-budget film Praying with Anger, but he became famous in 1999 with the release of his first blockbuster film The Sixth Sense which features Bruce Willis, Haley Joel Osment, Toni Collette, and Olivia Williams. He has since written and directed the blockbuster films Signs, Stuart Little, Split, The Last Airbender, The Village, Glass, The Visit, and Unbreakable. M. Night has received numerous awards nominations including two Grammy nominations for Best Director and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen, a BAFTA nomination for Best Screenplay – Original, a Golden Globe nomination for Best Screenplay - Motion Picture, and a People's Choice nomination for The Drama Movie of 2021.
