Macklemore Bio
Macklemore born Ben Haggerty is a rapper who quickly rose the top ranks of hip-hop with his popular song “Thrift Shop”. He first started building his fan base by releasing music independently with his producer Ryan Lewis, and his online following started to get bigger and bigger off of the strength of his campaigns. When he released his single “Thrift Shop”, it went viral getting over 415 million views on YouTube and hitting the top of the Billboard charts. The song shot Macklemore to the top of the scene, and made his album The Heist hit #2 on the Billboard charts and go gold.
