Madeline Mae, or “Maddie” Poppe is an American singer and Songwriter who is best known for having won the 16th season of American Idol, and for her ongoing musical career. Before even going on American Idol, she had released an EP titled “Songs from the Basement”. At that time, she had also auditioned for the Voice and was rejected prior to going on to American Idol and winning the competition. Since winning American Idol, she has released several singles as well as an album titled “Whirlwind” in May of 2019. Her single “Made you Miss” charted at number 21 on the Adult Pop Songs chart in the U.S. Maddie was born on December 5th, 1997 in Clarksville, Iowa.
