Born in April 12, 1992, Malcolm Jamaal Davis or better known as MadeinTYO (Made in Tokyo), was born in Hawaii, United States but have Atlanta, Georgia descent. However, as a teenager, he lived in Tokyo, Japan – the reason for his stage name MadeinTYO. Back there, he lived with Rolls Royce Rizzy, his older brother who is also a rapper.
MadeinTYO referenced their local train depot for the instrumental “EP Yokosuka Station” back in 2015. He also released “I Want,” his single, that same year via Private Club. Then his national break happened with the release of “Uber Everywhere”, a track from his debut mix tape entitled “You Are Forgiven.” Warner picked up the mix tape for major distribution, and reached the 51st spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
