Madeleine Stowe Bio

Madeleine Marie Stowe Mora, popular as Madeleine Stowe, is an actress and TV personality born on August 18, 1958, inĀ  Los Angeles, California, USA. She studied cinema and journalism at the University of Southern California before volunteering to do performances at Beverly Hills' Solaris Theater. She became prominent in 1987 when she played Maria McGuire in Stakeout.

In 1995, she was named by Empire magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in film history. After a short hiatus, she returned to acting in 1998 with The Proposition, then The General's Daughter in 1999. She is best known for Unlawful Entry, The Last of the Mohicans, Blink, 12 Monkeys, and We Were Soldiers. She currently stars as Victoria Grayson in the ABC drama series Revenge.

In 2008, she helped found Artists For Peace And Justice. She is on the advisory board of the foundation. She has won five awards and was nominated for nine others, including a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama. Her recent roles include Val, Soundtrack, and Revenge.
