Madeline Zima is a Connecticut-born actress from New Haven. Born on 16 September 1985, the actress made her first on-screen debut in the 1990 movie, Alice, created by Woody Allen. 2 years later, the actress almost gave up showbiz when she got casted as Emma in the movie The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. This Curtis Hanson film was the movie that put her and Julianne Moore on the map.
After her acclaimed role in The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, Madeline continued to have a very successful on-screen career. She starred in the 1993 film, Mr. Nanny and the 1995 film, The Last Supper.
In 1993, she portrayed the role of the smart little girl, Grace Sheffield, in the hit CBS sitcom, The Nanny. The show was very successful until it wrapped in 1999. Alongside David Duchovny she played Mia Lewis in the hit TV series Californication between 2007-2014.
