Madison Bumgarner was born in Hickory, North Carolina, U.S. on August 1, 1989. He was the first round pick of the San Francisco Giants in the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft. He currently plays for San Francisco Giants and serves as the starting pitcher. He made his MLB debut on September 2009. He has been in the All-Star Games four times, from 2013 to 2016. He also received the WS MVP award in 2014 and the NLCS MVP award. AP also named him as the Athlete of the Year, and he was the Sportsperson of the Year for Sports Illustrated. In the same year, he bagged the National League Babe Ruth Award and the Willie Mac award. He won two silver sluggers and became the Pitcher of the Month two times.
