Born in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, on January 3, 1991, Major League DJz is an American DJ and music production duo that performs Afro-house, kwaito, and hip-hop music. Bandile and Banele Mbere began playing jazz and classical music at a young age, but over the years their sound has evolved to include kwaito, hip-hop, and afro-fusion. They officially began their music career in 2016 when they signed their first record deal, and the following year, they released their debut single Do Better. Their discography includes the hit singles BAKWA LAH, Dinaledi, Careless Whispers, Le Plane E’Landile, NdiKuze, and the albums Pianochella, What’s The Levol, and the Outside. Major League DJz were featured in Diplo’s eponymous album which also featured Miguel, Leon Bridges, Lil Yachty, and RY X. They have performed at many international music events including Carnaval de Bahidorá Mexico City, ID NO LIMITS Lisbon, The Ekurhuleni Spring Fiesta Johannesburg, and Circoloco Ibiza.
