Makhmud Muradov, better known as Match, is a highly skilled mixed martial artist of Tajik origin, currently fighting in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on February 8, 1990.
Makhmud started his combat sports journey with boxing before transitioning to MMA. He made his debut in the UFC in 2019, winning his first two bouts against Alessio Di Chirico and Trevor Smith. In 2020, he defeated Andrew Sanchez, showcasing his powerful striking skills and exceptional takedown defense. He has also competed in other top promotions such as ACB and M-1 Global.
His fighting style is primarily striking-based, with his boxing skills being a standout feature of his game. He also possesses solid grappling skills, making him a well-rounded fighter.
