María Rodríguez Garrido, also known as Mala Rodríguez, La Mala María, or La Mala was born on 13th February, 1979 in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Spain. She is a singer, rapper, artist, musician, and performer. Rap and international are her musical specialties, and her style is film score, Latin rap, and hardcore rap. La Mala gained recognition with her socially-minded lyrics and strong feminity. Some of her song highlights are “Usted”, “Agnus Dei”, “Mujer bruja”, “A jierro”, “Ginitas”, “Por la noche”, “Tengo un trato”, “Dame Bien”, and many more. In 2010, she released the album “Dirty Bailarina” and it's one of her most successful and critically acclaimed albums. Mala has been nominated for multiple Latin Grammy Awards and is known for her performance with Nelly Furtado in 2009, they sang “Bajo Otra Luz” together.
