Malin Akerman Bio

Malin Akerman is a Swedish-Canadian actress born on May 12, 1978, in Stockholm, Sweden, and raised in Toronto, Canada. She is best known for appearing in several popular TV shows and movies including Watchmen in 2009, and the TV comedy Trophy Wife. At the age of 17, she won the Canadian title of Ford Supermodel. 

She has attended York University and studied psychology. She is the lead singer in a rock band called Ozono. Her feature film debut was in the movie The Utopian Society in 2003, where she met the movie’s editor Francesco Sondelli, who later became the founding leader of the band Ozono. The band later changed the name to The Petal Stones. In 2007, she was named one of the Ten Actors to Watch by Variety magazine. She has appeared in the popular movie 27 Dresses alongside Katherine Heigl. Other popular movies include Happythankyoumoreplease in 2010, Wanderlust in 2012, Rock of Ages in 2012, The Final Girls in 2015, Friendsgiving in 2020, and many more. Other popular TV shows she has appeared in include The Comeback, Sin City Saints, Billions, Dollface, and others.
