Manic Focus Bio
Manic Focus is the name of the electronic music project created by John McCarten, a music producer born in Saint Paul, Minnesota. John McCarten, better known as JmaC, has been interested in creating music from a young age when he first started learning to play the piano. Later in his teen years, he would discover hip-hop and electronic music, eventually creating Manic Focus with the influence of artists such as Atmosphere, Brother Ali, and MF Doom. He has released seven albums with Lost In A Digital World being his most recent one, released in 2019. His fifth album called Minds Rising, released in 2017, debuted at #7 on the iTunes electronic music chart. Over the years of his career, he has collaborated with many artists including Jennifer Hartswick, Russ Liquid, ProbCause, and Late Night Radio among others.
