Mara Justine is a singer born on 28th February 2002 in Galloway Township, New Jersey. She is widely recognized for appearing in season 9 of the reality television series “America’s Got Talent”. She received training from the renowned voice coach Sal Dupree, who is also known to have trained Bianca Ryan. She auditioned for the reality series when she was 15 years old. She sang Jennifer Hudson’s song “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”.
During judgment week, she sang Whitney Houston’s song “I Have Nothing”. She qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition, where she sang Katy Perry’s song “Unconditionally”. In the semifinals, she performed Kelly Clarkson’s song “Breakaway”, which was applauded by all the judges and the crowd. Although she was not named in the top four, she received a massive number of votes that earned her a place in the finals. She sang Pink’s song “Perfect” in the Top 12 Finals, but due to a sound glitch, the audience at home couldn’t hear her clearly and ended up being eliminated.
