Mara Wilson Bio

Mara Wilson, born as Mara Elizabeth Wilson, is an American actress and writer. She was born on July 24, 1987, in Burbank, California. She first became interested in acting, watching her older brother as he appeared in many television commercials. Later, Mara Wilson herself, appeared in several television commercials only to star in her first debut film called Mrs. Doubtfire. She also appeared in the film Matilda and the film Thomas and the Magic Railroad, both of which were a commercial success. For her role in Matilda, she has won the Young Star Award. In 2016, Mara Wilson published her first book called Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame. She also has her own storytelling show called What Are You Afraid Of?
