Marc Bartra football player who currently plays for the Spanish football club Real Betis as a centre-back. Born on 5th January 1991 in Spain, Bartra started his professional career with the Espanyol youth setup in 2000. Two years later, he joined the Barcelona academy. He went on to make his professional debut in 2009 with Barcelona B. He was called to the senior side in 2010. His start with the senior side wasn’t good because the manager preferred Alex Song, Adriano Correia Claro, and Javier Mascherano over him.
In June 2016, he joined the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on a four-year deal. He made his debut on 14th August. In January 2018, he signed a five-year deal with Real Betis. After a four-year spell with the Spanish club, he joined Trabzonspor. He, however, ended his contract on a mutual agreement with the Turkish club a year later. He rejoined Betis in July 2023. Bartra has made 14 appearances for the Spanish national team and 9 appearances for Catalonia.
