Marc Broussard Bio
Marc Broussard was born on January 14th, 1982 in Carencro, Louisiana. He is an American singer that mixes funk, R&B, soul, pop, and rock. He was exposed to music early on as his father, Ted Broussard, was a member of the band The Boogie Kings. His other musical influences consist of Otis Redding and Brian McKnight.
After a short stint with a Christian band called Y, he began his solo career with the release of his first album in 2002 called Momentary Setback on the label Ripley Records. The album resulted in the hit single “The Wanderer.” The album also contained the song “Home” which has become his biggest success to date. In 2007 he released a cover songs album called S.O.S.: Save Our Soul. The album reached number 96 on the Billboard 200.
In 2007 Marc signed a multi-album contract with Atlantic Records and released the EP Must Be The Water. In 2008 he released the album Keep Coming Back. In 2011 he released the self-titled album Marc Broussard which spawned three singles. He released another album with his new label Vanguard Records in 2012 called A Life Worth Living and a Christmas album called Magnolias and Mistletoe.
