Marcelinho Huertas Bio
Marcelinho Huertas is a professional basketball player who plays for the Spanish team Iberostar Tenerife. Born on 25th May 1983 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Huertas started his career with the youth setup at E.C Pinheiros in Brazil. He later attended Coppell High School in Texas, where he played basketball for their team. He later joined the senior men’s team of FMU Sao Paulo for the 2001 – 02 season. In 2004, he signed with DKV Joventut.
In September 2015, he joined Los Angeles Lakers and made his debut against Minnesota Timberwolves on 28th October. In July 2017, he returned to Spain, where he joined Baskonia on a two-year contract. When his contract ran out, he joined the Canarias in July 2019 on a two-year contract. In 2020, Huertas was named to the All-Basketball Champions League First Team.
