Marcellus Wiley Bio

Marcellus Wiley is a retired American professional football player born in Compton, California on November 30, 1974. He played for 10 seasons in the NFL as a defensive end and a situational pass rusher. Wiley played football in high school at Saint Monica Catholic High School in Santa Monica, California. He went on to play college football at Columbia University and was a first team All-American and All-Ivy League pick. In 1997 he was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round, 22nd overall, in the 1997 NFL Draft. Wiley played for the Buffalo Bills from 1997 to 2000. In 2001 he started playing for the San Diego Chargers and played with them until 2003. He played with the Dallas Cowboys in 2004 for one season. In 2005 he started playing with the Jacksonville Jaguars until he retired in 2006. After retiring from professional football, he worked for NFL Live and was a substitute co-host for the show Mike and Mike in the Morning. He also co-hosted the shows Winners Bracket, SportsNation, Afternoons on ESPNLA with Marcellus Wiley and Travis Rogers, Sports Nation, and Speak for Yourself. In 2018 he released his first book titled Never Shut Up: The Life, Opinions, and Unexpected Adventures of an NFL Outsider.
