Marcus David Morris was born on September 2, 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He plays the forward position for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball at Kansas from 2008 to 2012. In March of 2011, he was named to the John R. Wooden Award Men’s All American team. He was selected as the 14th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Houston Rockets. Marcus David played for the Houston Rockets from 2011– 2013, Rio Grande Valley Vipers in 2012, Phoenix Suns from 2013 to 2015, and the Detroit Pistons from 2015 to 2017 before signing to the Boston Celtics. Morris has won a lot of awards such as Consensus second-team All-American in 2011, Big 12 Player of the Year in 2011, First-team All-Big 12 in 2011 and Big 12 All-Rookie Team in 2009.
