Mari Copeny Bio
Amariyanna "Mari" Copeny (born July 6, 2007), popularly known as Little Miss Flint, is a Flint, Michigan-based youth activist. She is best recognized for her efforts to raise awareness about the Flint water crisis and to raise funds for needy children in her neighborhood and around the country.
Copeny addressed a letter to President Barack Obama when she was eight years old in order to bring attention to the water problem in her city of Flint, Michigan.
Her message inspired the president to respond, saying that "letters from kids like you are what makes me so enthusiastic about the future".
