Mario Bautista, also known as Mario Alberto Bautista Gil, is a Mexican pop singer born in 1996 in Mexico City. Born in a musical family, Bautista studied music production and started posting cover songs on YouTube and Vine in 2012, and from then on he started carefully building a social media fanbase through the use of other platforms, eventually reaching an audience of 8 million followers. In 2014 he started posting original content and doing live performances, opening for artists like Austine Mahone and The Wanted. His debut single “Ven a Bailar” became the soundtrack for a soap opera and catapulted him to widespread fame. After touring Mexico, he released his debut LP “Aqui Estoy,” featuring the talent of Elijah King and becoming a national top 20. Soon after, Bautista became a hit in Latin-America and in 2017 he released his sophomore effort “Zona Preferente.” Bautista has made collaborations with artists like De La Ghetto and famous YouTubers like Juanpa Zurita.
