Mark Ruffalo was born on November 22, 1967 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He worked as a bartender while landing minor acting roles in Ride with the Devil, This is Our Youth and Safe Men. He landed a larger role in 2000 in You Can Count On Me. From there, he starred in XX/XY, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and We Don’t Live Here Anymore. He took on the role of leading romantic interest in the 2000s with View from the Top, 13 Going on 30, Just Like Heaven and Rumor Has It.
Ruffalo earned a Tony for his work in Awake and Sing! He later earned critical acclaim as a homicide inspector in Zodiac (2007).
