Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach (June 28, 1989) is an American influencer with over 25 million followers and is known for his acting sketches, gaming compilations and animations. Also a gamer, comedian and actor, Markiplier first came into the YouTube scene in 2012 with his video game commentary and game playthrough titled ‘Let’s Plays’. By 2014, his gameplay videos garnered millions of views, specifically his 17 minute video gameplay of Five Nights at Freddy’s which now has 60 million views. Originally from Hawaii, Markiplier moved to Cinccinati to pursue his degree but later on moved Los Angeles when his YouTube career began to skyrocket. Having issues with his first YouTube account under ‘Markiplier’, he moved to a new channel, ‘MarkiplierGAME’. Currently, a majority of his videos have over 5 million views and by 2015, he hit the 10 million subscriber mark on YouTube. Also active on game-streaming site Twitch, Forbes has named him one of Forbes’ Top Influencers. With the success of Mark’s channel, he has gone on tour titled ‘You’re Welcome Tour’ around North America, Europe and Australia from 2017 to 2018.
