DJ and producer Markus Schulz was born on February 3, 1975 in Eschwege, Germany. Schulz held a seven-year residency at The Works in Phoenix, Arizona where he was able to hone his DJ skills and his unique sound. Between 2005 and 2014, he released five studio albums under his name, and two studio albums under the name Dakota. His music has been included in nine compilation albums, Schulz has released over fifty singles and has remixed songs by artists like the Backstreet Boys, Madonna, Fatboy Slim, Jewel, Sia, and Thirty Seconds to Mars. He has played large festivals including Electric Zoo, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, and Summafieldayze. In 2012, “DJ TImes” named Schulz America’s #1 DJ. He hosts a weekly radio show, “Global DJ Broadcast,” and co-founded Coldharbour Recordings and Schulz Music Group. In 2013, he joined forces with Ferry Corsten to form the EDM duo, New World Punx, with their debut show at Madison Square Garden.
