Marques Barrett Houston is an American R&B singer and actor born in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. He hopped onto Los Angeles’s entertainment industry at a young age, joining the R&B group Immature in 1992, along with Jerome "Romeo" Jones, Don "Half Pint" Santos, and Chris Stokes. The group released two albums and made numerous appearances in TV series in the late 1990s. In the early 2000s, Houston started pursuing a solo career, releasing two top 20 Billboard albums featuring R. Kelly and Joe Budden, among others. In 2007, his solo album “Veteran” topped the R&B Albums Chart. Houston went on to issue five more studio albums, including a reunion edition with Immature. As an actor, Houston is better known for portraying the younger brother in the 1990s family sitcom “Sister, Sister,” and for starring the 2005 sitcom “Cuts.
