The Marshall Tucker Band is a Spartanburg, South Carolina-based American rock band. The Marshall Tucker Band, known for fusing blues, country, and jazz into an eclectic sound, was instrumental in establishing the Southern rock genre in the early 1970s. While the band's commercial success peaked at the end of the decade, it has continued to produce and play under numerous lineups for the past 50 years. Lead vocalist Doug Gray is the band's only original member who is still active.
